Descriptive Set Theory originates in the French and Russian schools of analysis from the early 20th century and has remained a highly active field of mathematics at the intersection of logic, analysis and topology ever since. The past few decades have seen an increasing interplay with other disciplines such as ergodic theory, combinatorics, topological dynamics and functional analysis among many others. Whereas these emerging connections have been amply represented in conferences worldwide, this conference will focus on descriptive set theory in its own right. The goals of this meeting are to highlight the achievements and recent developments of the subject and to foster the community of researchers in descriptive set theory in North America.
